Obama Is Damaging Hillary’s Chances

Obama Is Damaging Hillary’s Chances - WSJ

I doubt she will be the nominee for the dems. She isn't her husband and doesn't have the skills he has. Plus she's shrill and a whole host of other bad things. Someone will come out of the shadows and bounce her off the stage eventually. Obama's recent comment: "Obama: Americans Want "New Car Smell" In Next President, "Fresh Start" " Hillary ain't that.

He joins Gruber in calling the American people stupid and cites some stats to show it. About 40% or so are stupid or so he claims. I guess I'd have to agree to some extent. How else can you explain so many Democrats getting elected... ta dis boom!

"Ooh I love to dance a little sidestep, now they see me now they don't-

I can't tell you how many times over the last six years this song has come to mind...

Cool piece of History - I thought this was fascinating!

Frank Hogg
Cool piece of History - I thought this was fascinating!

Starting in 1941, an increasing number of British
Airmen found themselves as the involuntary guests
of the Third Reich, and the Crown was casting about
for ways and means to facilitate their escape. Now
obviously, one of the most helpful aids to that end
is a useful and accurate map, one showing  not only
where stuff was, but also showing the  locations of
'safe houses' where a POW on-the-lam  could go for
food and shelter.

Paper maps had some real drawbacks -- they make
a lot of noise when you open and fold them, they
wear out rapidly, and if they get wet, they turn into
mush.

Someone in MI-5 (similar to America’s  OSS ) got
the idea of printing escape maps on silk.  It's
durable, can be scrunched-up into tiny wads,
and unfolded as many times as needed, and
makes no noise whatsoever.

At that time, there was only one  manufacturer
in Great Britain that had perfected the technology
of printing on silk, and that was John
Waddington, Ltd. When approached by the
government, the firm was only too happy to do
its bit for the war effort.

By pure coincidence, Waddington was also the
U.K. Licensee for the popular American board
game, Monopoly. As it happened, 'games and
pastimes' was a category of item  qualified for
insertion into 'CARE packages',  dispatched by
the International Red Cross to prisoners  of war.

Under the strictest of secrecy, in a securely
guarded and inaccessible old workshop on
the grounds of Waddington's, a group of
sworn-to-secrecy employees began mass
producing escape maps, keyed to each
region of Germany or Italy where Allied
POW camps were regional system).
When processed, these maps could be folded
into such tiny dots that they would actually
fit inside a Monopoly playing piece.

As long as they were at it, the clever workmen
at Waddington's also managed to add:

1. A playing token, containing a small magnetic
compass
2. A two-part metal file that could easily be
screwed together
3. Useful amounts of genuine high-denomination
German, Italian, and
French currency, hidden within the piles of
Monopoly money!

British and American air crews were advised,
before taking off on their first mission, how
to identify a 'rigged' Monopoly set -- by  means
of a tiny red dot, one cleverly rigged to look
like an ordinary printing glitch, located in the
corner of the Free Parking square.

Of the estimated 35,000 Allied POWS who
successfully escaped, an estimated  one-third
were aided in their flight by the rigged Monopoly
sets... Everyone who did so was sworn to secrecy
Indefinitely, since the British Government might
want to use this highly successful ruse  in still
another, future war. The story wasn't declassified
until 2007, when the surviving craftsmen  from
Waddington's, as well as the firm itself, were
finally honoured in a public ceremony.
It's always nice when you can play that ’Get Out
of Jail' Free' card!

I realize many of you are (probably) too young
to have any personal connection to WWII
(Dec. '41 to Aug. '45), but this is still interesting.

What Jonathan Gruber is Actually Saying About Obamacare

View from the left... But at the 5 minute mark he shows his true colors and agrees with Gruber that the American voter is stupid. In my many years on this planet I have witnessed many liberals/Progressives/Democrats who believe they are smarter than everyone else. It is reinforced by the fact that they never listen to anyone who disagrees with them. They can best be described by two of the three monkeys, hear no evil, see no evil, from the left but see nothing but evil from the right. They live in a cloistered world and they don't know it. They hate Fox/Rush/Hannity etc but they never listen to them so why do they hate? Because they are conditioned to it by who they do listen too. They are told they are superior but because they don't allow a thought that disagrees with their view they really are not. And even when one of their own tells them he lied to them and thinks they are stupid they assume he is talking about someone else, not them. And that is how Democrats get elected.

CNN? This is from the lefty, Obama friendly, Democrat friendly CNN! Guess even lefties don't like it when the big O lies to them.

"Washington (CNN) -- At a town hall meeting where he campaigned for health care legislation in 2009, President Barack Obama pledged to voters that he did not want any tax on health insurance plans he perceived as wastefully generous to ever impact average Americans. But in recent comments by one of the men who helped draft the legislation, MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, that is not only precisely what will happen -- but that was the intention of the tax.White House officials had no comment, despite repeated requests by CNN. ...

The Honest Man

The Honest Man - WSJ - WSJ

Yeah, it's about Gruber. A man like no other in recent history so completely hoisted by his own petard. His career in politics is over. No one will ever hire him again!

A petard BTW, was, back in olden times, a small explosive device that was very unstable and often blew the person up who was trying to plant it in his enemies location. Hosted in those times referred to being blown up. Often used these days to describe politicians predilection for making fools of themselves when trying to do the same to their opponents. I think we can all agree that pols are very good at making fools of themselves... Sadly, usually at our expense.

He also seems to contradict himself. Odd read to say the least.

2nd Video of Jonathan Gruber Calls Americans 'Too Stupid' To Understand ...

Another video Emerges of Obamacare Architect Calling Americans "Too Stupid” To Understand The Difference. Gruber paid $400,000 by administration, visited White House a dozen timesYet second video has emerged of MIT professor and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber calling Americans “stupid,” and bragging about how the Affordable Care Act’s drafters had to deceive the public in order to pass the law.Fox News’ Megyn Kelly was the first to air the video on her program, “The Kelly File.” Kelly played the video of Gruber appearing on MSNBC’s “Ronan Farrow Daily” apologizing for his earlier remarks. “I was speaking off the cuff and I spoke inappropriately, and I regret making those comments,” he said.“But now tonight,” Kelly reported, ” more video has surfaced showing this was not the first time Mr. Gruber called the American people stupid in an ‘off-the-cuff’ remark. In this next clip from also last year, Mr. Gruber explains how Democrats played with the language of the Obamacare law so that it achieved their goals, by again, fooling the stupid public.”She then played a short 5-second clip of Gruber, saying the following, that a part of the Obamacare passed because “the American people are too stupid to understand the difference.”
I know a lot of libs who would agree with Gruber calling Americans stupid. They believe it and it takes someone with a certain level of intelligence to think that. That level would be low.

snopes.com: Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber Hails American 'Stupidity'

snopes.com: Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber Hails American 'Stupidity'

Snopes is often called left wing but their comments about this don’t appear to be biased. It would be hard to argue otherwise because the video is damning evidence. BTW everything that Gruber admits was done to get it passed was claimed by the right about the bill at the time of the vote and is probably one of the reasons that no Republican, not a one, voted for it. It is wholly owned by the Democrats and they paid dearly for that on 11/4. I suspect it will come up again for 2016 and well it should. If pols on either side lie to us they should be held accountable.

Senate Democrats pull funding for Landrieu run-off ads » News -- GOPUSA

There were three reps, 2 independents and one dem, her running. The independents got less than 2% and she got something like 40%. That means that the three reps got about 58% of the vote. Based on that it seems unlikely she could win and that may be why the dems pulled the money.

Battle for the Senate: How the GOP did it - The Washington Post

Battle for the Senate: How the GOP did it - The Washington Post

Very interesting read.

Was 2014 like 1994... Yes it was and here's why

2014 election results - Google Search

As of this writing the results are not all in but for this exercise they need not be.

In 1994 the reps ended up with control of the Senate with 52 to 48. In 2014 reps ended up with control of the Senate with 52 to 43. The reps will add at least one and maybe more but 2014 is very close to 1994.

In 1994 the reps ended up with control of the House with 230 to 176 seats. In 2014 so far the reps have 237 to 159. Again, close to 1994.

In the 1994 governor's races the reps had 30 to the dems 20. So far in 2014 the reps have 28 to the dems 14.

In 1994 the state legislators also made a shift to rep but I haven't looked into that yet. The reason 1994 was so remembered is the amount of shift from dem to rep. The reps had the Congress this time so the shift wasn't as great as 1994. The end results, the amount of seats the reps have vs the dems is very close to 1994. With that in mind I will claim a bit of foresight when I said on November 1st that it was Starting to look like 1994.

Starting to look like 1994

Maybe feel like 1994 is better. It's just that as I watch and read about polls and statements from dems about the senate I get this distinct feeling that it will be a much bigger night for reps than anyone is saying. Call it a hunch or maybe wishful thinking but that how it's -starting- to look like to me. I'm also curious about the congress and governors races. If it's like 1994 then that will be good for reps too.
