Who Turned My Blue State Red? - The New York Times
This is a fascinating read. The NYT is a lefty rag and it just amused the hell out of me reading about how so many states were turning red. They couldn't understand it. Well hell, the dems give them stuff, lots and lots of stuff. Food stamps, welfare etc etc and on and on. So why aren't these people grateful and voting for Democrats? Well, to save you the long read the reason is kinda simple. Those people on the public dole just don't vote! Even when not doing so might take away their free lunch. In my mind the Democrats have turned their constituents from the working class to the Lazy Class. We've all heard it said for years that people will vote for the politician who gives them stuff. Well, that plan backfired on the Democrats. Now they are pushing for illegal immigrants to come into the USA in the hopes they will be future Democratic voters. But if the findings in this article hold true then all the dems will do is put more Republicans in office. Kinda love the irony don't ya. :)
